Portland Chimney rebuilt the top of our chimney which was in pretty bad shape. Manuel and his team did a great job and rather than the typical “design” spent some time making it look unique which I love. The whole team was great to work with and super efficient. In addition to rebuilding the top of our chimney, they added liners to each chimney stack and rebuilt our firebox. All went very smoothly and even under budget!

I have had Portland Chimney work on my wood burning stove chimney for years, and have always been pleased with the thoroughness and knowledge of their team, especially Earl. So, when I’d had enough of the woodpecker noise on my gas fireplace chimney cap, I called them to come out. Earl took pictures and helped me ‘see’ that the woodpeckers had done some real damage to the siding on that chimney. I found a siding company to replace the siding etc., and then had Portland Chimney come out to measure for a new chimney cap for fabrication. Start to finish, they did an excellent, professional job!

I accepted Portland Chimney & Masonry, Inc bid to rebuild my unused decommissioned furnace kitchen chimney on my Historic Milwaukie Home, August 2022. Took down the center furnace chimney & rebuild using 8″ red bricks. Build a new crown using a new flu pot. Supply & istall new black counter flashing set into the mortar joints. Fill thimble hole in kitchen along with thimble hole & clean out in basement using brick with mortar.2nd original chimney on outside North end of home we changed 2004 to gas insert with aluminum liner. When Portland Chimney inspected, found unlined masonry not to code, no counter flashing, cracks in crown & no cap.
Shocked to know this chimney was in such bad shape!
Won’t go into detail of the repairs stated on 2nd chimney inspection which was exceptionally thorough.
The 2nd inspection & bid I received from another chimney company was considerably less & totally incomplete from Portland Chimney’s inspection.Of course, I chose Portland Chimney’s bid.
The integrity of their work is excellent, the North chimney now at it’s functionable best & both chimneys are beautiful!
I highly recommend their expertise in their inspection and work.

During a windstorm we had a tree crush our Mt Hood cabin, decimating our chimney. Portland Chimney was very responsive, and had Earl come out to inspect the damage and give us an estimate for repair. Portland Chimney and Masonry is the definition of skilled superb customer service. Our 1947 chimney was seriously degraded, with trickling leaks into the attic. Manuel and Graham handled the replacement of our chimney. They took the old one completely apart, where I could see sky from the attic, then they built a nice looking, very well sealed replacement to code with a top designed to ward off intruding rain. They showed up for the job on time, stayed focused on the task all day, cleaned up meticulously when they were done, discussed the job in detail with us, they were open and friendly to deal with. The office folks are friendly both on the phone and when you stop in to see them – and please do!
